Backwaters Allapey to Kollam

Here I can only say, that there were hundreds shades of green ;-) green greener and even more green... and a little of blue cha cha... Enjoy the photos!

Fort Cochin

It's a beautiful Portuguese harbour with some colonial style buildings. Santa Cruz Bazillica was just around the corner and we saw it from the hotel terrass. We took an autoriksha to the "Jewish quarter", but nothing's left of that - its only a name...

Allapey

On the way we saw a festivity market :-) and came to the canal city Allapey better known as backwaters city. Here we spent some time on the beach and went to see a more secluded and nicer beach "for westerners" ;-)

Train to Nillgiri Hills

A wonderful one day trip to Otty (at around 1800 meters hight over see level) in an heritige train. We have seen a tropical plants and flowers, hilltops and tea plantations, monkeys and a wild elephant too! In these jungles are tigers domain, so to see an elephant looking at a train passing by was a nice surprize ;-) Playing with the monkeys made my day too ;-)

Mysore Palace by day

The Palace is really beautiful from inside also, but photographing is not allowed ;-)  The yellow cow is bathed in tumeric water for the festival.

Mysore Palace by night is a fairytale alive. It's happens on Sundays and public holidays, and we were lucky to be there at that time ;-)

Bengaluru Palace

In a very greenery location is this Maharaja Palace located. It has it's beauty and some unexpected nude gallery ;-)
